» PROJECT BRIEF: Tackling a rebrand, I wanted to do something different outside the realm of anything I have done throughout my education. We were tasked to find a website of a company we felt we could rebrand, and to choose something that interested us. As someone who loves both crystals and tattoos / piercings, I knew I had to choose Phoenix Tattoo for this very, soul-healing re-design.

Phoenix Tattoo, located in Rhode Island, is a tattoo shop that strives on both a comfortable environment and experience, as well as the art of soul healing in crystals and tattoos.
Owned by a diverse set of tattoo artists, Phoenix Tattoo truly is the place to go if you wish for the best tattooing experience.
"Art for the Mind, Body, and Soul" being their major tagline really inspired me to want to do a crystal / healing serenity type of vibe for this re-design, bringing in soft colors and a crystalline tranquil type of experience for their branding.

Being able to book same day appointments, Phoenix Tattoo is definitely open and welcoming for those that are veterans at getting tattoos, as well as those just starting out.
Owned by the renowned Rhiannon Spaziano, booking Phoenix Tattoo with their large range and plethora of amazing artists all with their own style can easily be done over the phone!

FONTS!:
PRIMARY FONT: Loos Condensed was used as the main font; it is the primary font used on all things that were for body copy and headings in various styles of this particular version of Loos. Used for website pages, menu header, and 'about us' page.
SEONDARY FONT: Amalfi Coast was used as an accent font; using it for reflective type and various stylized usages, this secondary font is a good balance against Loos condensed in holding a balance between a standard and more geometric sans-serif font with a more open and free-forming cursive font such as this one.

For the color palette I wanted to give it a sense of comforting coolness. I had looked at various different types of crystals to get a good sense of what color palette I wanted to go for; I wished to go on the cooler side, of a more icy feel. Given this has to do with combining tattooing and soul-healing, I wanted to give it a cooler palette to represent the soothing serenity of healing, but also be able to apply it to icy crystalline designs for the more phoenix centric part of this re-branding.
LOGOS!:
PRIMARY LOGO: This primary logo is text based; used for branding such as packages, social medias, business cards and letterheads, and the primary logo used for identification purposes. Loos Condensed and Amalfi Coast were used in the making of this logo.
SECONDARY LOGO: This design heavy logo is used as the secondary logo. Lacking the shop's name, I wanted to create a piece of imagery that could easily be recognized within the set of the brand as well as on its own. I used the aforementioned color palette in this design as well as keeping the phoenix and crystal mixture in mind to really revamp their secondary phoenix look.
MISC!:
TEXTURE: A crystalline made texture used for the business card and accent pieces on the branding and website; made to represent crystals, and used the primary color palette.
DECORATION: A small additional piece added to be used for various decorations and accent purposes on branding, website and social media. Kept in mind the color palette and the crystalline design aesthetic.
WEBSITE CURSOR: A customized cursor that would essentially primarily used on their website when navigating the various pages. Keeps in mind the color palette and the crystalline theme.
